Kawasaki has tapped into the feelings of race fans like me. The KRT livery on my test bike looks hot and makes me feel even more like Tom Sykes than my beard, specially grown for today, does. The tail unit looks sharper and that ugly muffler is gone, replaced with a neat titanium unit. The reshaped upper cowl looks like the SBK fairing, and the dash is at least bigger than an iPhone, unlike another liter-class bike’s tiny clocks. It looks fast and has no extras hanging off it. So what was it like to ride? In a word, rewarding.
